With much sadness we heard of the passing of Shanky Chellaram - the husband of our dear Nalanieji. Shanky passed away on the 23rd of December at 8.40 pm peacefully, surrounded
by his family.

No words can describe Shanky's crossing over. The strength you and your angelic and blessed family showed on boxing day and on sunday was truly beyond words. Yoga in action, a true inspiration to everyone present who watched perfection in awe. I am certain Gurudev is and has always been with you 24/7, guiding and preparing you.
My prayers and thoughts are always with you. May Gurudev's light and love enveloppe you in peace, knowing that Shanky and Gurudev are now together helping you fulfill your mission on earth. I am so fortunate to have met Shanky, a man to be much admired and respected, to gravitate towards naturally, drawn by the sincerity of his smile and the warmth of his personality. Even though I had only begun to get to know him I could tell he was someone special, someone who's presence could light up a room and fill it with joy. Such intellect and humour, so interesting and a delight to spend time in his company - the ideal soul mate to you and perfect father to your children.
Shanky, I was hoping to get to know you better here on earth but now I must be patient until we meet again. Until then you will live on in our hearts and your time on earth will serve as an example of how we should all live life: to the full and full of love.

Dearest All... Hari Om!!! And Happy New year to you all..
I finally got the energy to look at my mail... Thank you all for those heart waming messages... It is a painful time and the loss is hard on my heart.
But I am so grateful that Shanky left his body so peacefully and surrounded by his whole family singing mantras and stroking him and telling him to look for the lIght and for Gurudeva. Telling him how much we loved him and thanked him for being in our lives.
We told him not to worry about us and to move to a beautiful place ... He breathed his last breath gently, smiled and slipped away graciously... We miss him so much and we do know time will heal all.
I am truly grateful for all Gurudeva's teachings and all those years of couselling others through their sorrow.. It has truly helped me keep equanimity of mind at this diificult time... Yoga does work. The mind is a powerful instrument and training it just makes so much sense.
I am deeply grateful for all the love and prayers you all have showered me and my family with... It has helped us all , Prayers are dynamic thought waves that fly through the ether to the person that is prayed for... with so much love and sincerity, the impact is far greater.
