Coming events in Portugal

Festival of Light - Friday 19 - Sunday 21 September - Quinta da Calma, Portugal

Inner Peace, Global Peace - this year's themes will be Peace and Environmental Awareness.

The Festival will offer

  • mini-sessions from therapists;
  • workshops and experiential presentations;
  • Felix Maria Woschek and Friends will be performing Peace Chants from around the World;
  • Stalls selling crafts and natural products;
  • delicious vegetarian meals & snacks.
  • Guest Speakers at the Festival will include :
  • We are honoured to welcome Grandfather Tlakaelel, a Mexica-Tolteca Leader and Teacher, who will speak on Saturday morning and will also bring the Festival to a close on the afternoon of Sunday 21st with a traditional Four Colours Ceremony.
  • Native American Robert Standing Bear, who will be sharing with us teachings from a people whose veneration and care of the earth forms the basis of their existence. On Sunday morning, Standing Bear will lead us in Ga-lone'-da Atonement this means a day of forgiveness and is a traditional annual Cherokee ceremony intended to re-integrate individuals with themselves, their families and community.
  • Ganga lives on the West Coast of Portugal, where she works and holds regular Satsangs. She will be holding a Satsang at the Festival on Saturday 20 afternoon on Liberation.
